Katie Clark

Katie ClarkA fourth-generation builder, Katie Clark works from a toolbox filled with practical experience, education and tradition. The breadth of her knowledge in homebuilding and real estate, combined with literally a lifetime of exposure to the construction business, allow Katie to bring a skill-set to the table that sets her apart from others in the field.

As a child, Katie accompanied her father, Ben, a developer, to construction sites and was so enamored of the activity that as a 2 year old asked Santa for a bulldozer and scraper for Christmas. Later, Katie pursued a degree in Economics from the University of Memphis and got her start, separate from the family business, in the roofing industry with Contracting Solutions, a general contractor in Memphis. Since then she has been an integral part of a number of large-scale projects, both residential and commercial. Currently she is a featured builder for the 2016 Vesta Home Show, West Tennessee’s premier showcase for cutting-edge design and technology in homebuilding.

In addition to her management role with Windsor Homes and Renaissance Realty, Katie is an Aging in Place Specialist and is working on the Certified Graduate Builder designation from the National Homebuilders Association. While the business is certainly “in the blood,” her drive and passion have allowed Katie to carve an independent path and make her unique mark on the Memphis landscape.

Barry Watson

Barry WatsonAn award-winning builder, a traveler and a family man wed to royalty, Barry Watson comes from a humble background. Born and raised in a modest Memphis neighborhood, he graduated from Wooddale High School, excelling in wood shop, and attended what was then Memphis State University, where he studied Business Administration and Management while honing his table tennis skills.

As his college career wound down, Barry’s career as a contractor began to take shape. In 1975, he started working as an equipment operator in local subdivisions. He was a framing contractor from 1980-1983, after which he worked in new home construction in the Countrywood area. Barry functioned as a construction coordinator for several Memphis area builders from 1985 through 2004 until hanging his own shingle as Barry Watson Homes, building pre-sales and spec homes from 2005-2008.

Building custom homes and doing remodels in Germantown, Collierville and East Memphis established Barry in the local homebuilders scene. He cemented his reputation in the field by earning awards as a Vesta Builder, participating in the 2005 home show in Windsor Park, a Renaissance Development. Today Barry serves as Construction Manager for Windsor Homes, helping folks build their dream homes since 2012.

With more than 40 years in the construction industry and thousands of homes in the Memphis area and beyond under his belt, Barry continues to build homes that are showcases for the latest in technology and design. His work will again be on display in the 2016 Vesta Home Show, a prestigious event known as West Tennessee’s Biggest Open House.

Barry has been married since 1978 to Kim Watson and together he and his princess have four children and five grandchildren. They are active in the Servants of Christ Church and, when he’s not busy coaching youth basketball or traveling, Barry enjoys spending his spare time camping, canoeing and playing tennis or maybe just watching old movies and sleeping in.
